[pwa] is a series of collages I started when I was recovering from a burn out. I used the pattern of the dot in the past, as a symbol of blood and stigmata. I decided to use it again, in red, gold, white and black, to create geometrical, random and abstract compositions. Symbols are very important in my work, telling the complexity of an idea by a synthetic component. [pwa] is a homophone that means different things in French: weight, dot as a pattern, pea and a sticky resin. This word evokes the analogy of meanings. According to the experience I was living, a mix of emotional and physical weakness, I felt the need to get back to creativity through a primary approach. I let my unconscious decide where to place these patterns, randomly and impulsively, in a meditative state. These dots are a symbol of my personal reconstruction, dot by dot, sheet by sheet until its own completion, a body of work.

[pwa] est une série de collages commencée lorsque j’étais en convalescence. Les pois font partie de mon iconographie personnelle, ils sont à la fois symboles et symboliques. De par leur simplicité, ils renvoient à l’idée d’une forme pure, originelle, à la fois scientifique et spirituelle. [pwa] est un homophone qui signifie différentes choses en français : le poids comme masse, le pois comme nourriture, le pois comme motif et enfin la poix comme résine particulièrement collante. J’ai choisi ce titre car ces collages évoquent à la fois la connexion et la confusion de sens, parallèlement à ce que je ressentais à cette période. Ces formes sont le symbole de ma propre reconstruction, pois après pois, telle une cellule se reproduisant dans l’espace, un corps qui retrouve la forme et les formes.
